COLUMBIA, S.C. – Republican candidate for Attorney General David Pascoe todayreleased his second campaign advertisement, drawing a sharp contrast between his record as a prosecutor and the records of his opponents.
The ad focuses on Pascoe’s role in leading the Statehouse corruption probe and his experience prosecuting violent criminals, while contrasting that record with what Pascoe describes as the failures and weaknesses of his opponents.
“I’m David Pascoe. I used to be a Democrat, but who cares?” Pascoe says in the ad. “I took down a corrupt political empire and put men on death row.”
The ad contrasts Pascoe with opponent Stephen Goldfinch, describing him as a “liberal lawyer legislator” and pointing to his record on judicial votes.
“Stephen Goldfinch is a liberal lawyer legislator who votes for pro-choice judges,” Pascoe says.
The ad also contrasts Pascoe with opponent David Stumbo, highlighting a case involving a child victim.
“David Stumbo let a man who raped and murdered a two-year-old child off death row,” Pascoe says.
“Both are weak,” Pascoe says. “Yeah, I was a Democrat, but I was always more conservative than these guys.”
Pascoe said the ad continues the campaign’s focus on presenting a clear choice to voters between a proven prosecutor and career politicians.
“This race is about results and courage,” Pascoe said. “I’ve taken on corruption, I’ve prosecuted violent criminals, and I’ve stood up when it mattered. That’s what South Carolina needs in its next Attorney General.”
The ad is part of a statewide media rollout and will run across digital platforms.
