Protecting South Carolina’s Sovereignty By Fighting National Liberalism

The day I announced my candidacy for Attorney General, I made a clear commitment. I would focus on four priorities.

-Protecting our children.

-Crushing corruption.

-Cutting crime.

-Protecting South Carolina from federal overreach.

That last priority does not get discussed nearly enough, but it is one of the most critical responsibilities of the Attorney General of South Carolina.

The Attorney General is the chief legal defender of our state. That means more than prosecuting criminals. It means standing between South Carolina and a federal government that increasingly believes it can govern by executive order, agency rulemaking and ideological fiat. It means enforcing the Constitution, defending the separation of powers and ensuring that Washington follows the law just like everyone else.

South Carolina is not a subsidiary of Washington DC. We are a sovereign state. Our authority comes from our Constitution, our laws and our people. Not from unelected bureaucrats attempting to impose national social policy through regulation.

Across the country, national liberals are using federal agencies to push a one size fits all agenda onto the states. They bypass Congress, stretch statutory authority and attempt to force policies voters never approved. When that happens, the Attorney General is the last line of defense.

That fight shows up in real ways.

We must protect South Carolina businesses from unlawful federal mandates that drive up costs, stifle growth and create constant regulatory uncertainty. Businesses deserve a stable and predictable legal environment, not shifting rules written in Washington conference rooms by activists with no accountability.

We must protect workers from illegal DEI mandates that replace merit with ideology and force employers to comply with race based and gender based requirements that violate the law. No South Carolinian should be told they are less qualified or less worthy because of immutable characteristics.

We must protect our children from radical woke ideology being injected into schools through federal pressure campaigns and funding conditions. Education decisions belong to parents and local communities, not federal agencies attempting to redefine biology, family and values.

We must protect public safety by pushing back against federal policies that weaken enforcement, undermine the rule of law and leave states dealing with the consequences. Illegal immigration is not a victimless policy failure. It brings increased crime, deadly drugs like fentanyl into our communities and massive strain on state and local law enforcement, courts, schools and healthcare systems. When Washington refuses to enforce the law or creates loopholes that encourage illegal entry, states like South Carolina are left to pick up the pieces. As Attorney General, I will fight any federal action that interferes with our ability to enforce the law, protect our borders and keep South Carolina communities safe.

This is what protecting sovereignty looks like. It is not about politics. It is about the rule of law.

That is why it matters who serves as Attorney General. You need someone with a lifelong conservative record and the experience to fight and win these battles in court. Not someone who talks tough on social media. Not someone chasing headlines. A proven lawyer who understands how federal overreach actually happens and how to stop it.

My record speaks for itself. For more than thirty two years, I have taken on powerful interests, enforced the law and refused to back down. I do not blink when the fight gets hard. And I do not lose.

If Washington or any outside jurisdiction tries to force a liberal, progressive or woke agenda on South Carolina, I will take immediate action. I will do what I have done my entire career. I will fight. And I will win.

Protecting South Carolina’s sovereignty is not optional. It is essential. And it is exactly what I will do as your Attorney General.

Besides, it shouldn’t be too hard to fight back against these clowns – https://thepostmillennial.com/house-dem-women-make-cringe-choose-your-fighter-video
